As many of you know, on Friday just hours before we were set to be released from the hospital, M, while playing on the floor with her mother, had a stoke, affecting the left side of her body.
The hospital staff, at the pleading of mommy, reacted quickly, and we decided to begin a risky, but hopeful anti-coagulant therapy.  We had only a 3 hour window in which to get a CT (to check for bleeding) and begin the treatment, otherwise the options became even grimmer, and the mortality rate escalates exponentially.
A few hours later, M received another priesthood blessing; She immediately began to move her left arm, a miraculous achievement.  She was whisked away for an MRI and sedated, again.
We were moved back to the PICU, where we remain for observation.  The most dangerous part of the stroke is 3-5 days following, where swelling of the brain can cause a myriad of complications, many of which are mortal.
Mom and I also received blessings from our Elder's Quorum president.  That made a big difference for us.
She underwent another lumbar puncture last night (had to be sedated again), and the report is promising, though inconclusive.  She is anemic, and will likely get a blood infusion today.
She has another MRI scheduled for tomorrow (more sedation), where they will look for edema.
We are in a holding pattern until we get those results.
