Here comes the sun!!!

M loves mornings!

Boy, if there isn't anything that makes her happier than waking up and seeing sunlight pouring through the window.  She is her most expressive, vocal, playful, beaming self at 5am than at any other point in the day.  We don't understand where this comes from, but we're trying to roll with it.
If you didn't know any better, you would think that the sun gets its bright beams directly from her waking face as they both rise in the morning.  One of these days when I have the energy to grab the camera and push the record button, I'll put it on tape and you will see what I mean.
But for now, here are the songs I sing to her as I try to find the strength to pick her up and help her spend all that buoyant energy:

(to the tune of "It's Autumn Time")
It's morning time, it's morning time, the M---- is awake!
It's morning time, it's morning time, feed her for goodness sake!
It's morning time, it's morning time, the sun is out and bright.
It's morning time, it's morning time, let's welcome in the light!

(to the tune of "What Do You Do in the Summertime?")
Oh, what do you do in the morningtime, when all the house is asleep?
Do you play in your crib and air out your lungs with a great big healthy cry?
Is that what you do?
(*falsetto voice*) "Oh no, not I!"

(to the tune of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight")--Papa's favorite
a-weem-oh-way, a-weem-oh-way, a-weem-oh-way, a-weem-oh-way
a-weem-oh-way, a-weem-oh-way, a-weem-oh-way, a-weem-oh-way
In the morning, the early morning, the M---- comes to life!
In the morning, the early morning, the M---- comes to life!
Oh, plee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ease let me get some sleep!
Oh, plee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ease let me get some sleep!

An aside note:  there was one night Papa was up late laying tile in the bathroom.  I had the girl on the bed after I had fed her (because it was too noisy in the living room with Daddy's work).  It was between 12-2 in the morning.  Papa had to open the bathroom door to continue working, and light spilled out onto the wall of the bedroom that has the outside window.  Little girl turned and saw the light and thought that it was morning.  Her expression conveyed all the unbridled enthusiasm of an over-excited puppy.  "We get up and play?!?  UP and PLAY!?!"  Yeah, I didn't get any sleep that night.
